Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located in the United States
• Photos, recordings, and videos are stored in secure, encrypted cloud storage (Amazon S3)

• Access to user data is restricted to essential personnel only
• We regularly review and update our security practices

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only:

YouTube API Services

Kindred Reels uses YouTube API Services to allow you to upload your completed videos directly to your YouTube channel. By connecting your YouTube account, you authorize Kindred Reels to upload videos on your behalf using the YouTube Data API v3.

Our use of information received from YouTube APIs also adheres to the Google Privacy Policy.

Data We Store

When you connect your YouTube account, we store OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token) to authorize uploads on your behalf. If you upload a video to YouTube, we store the resulting YouTube video ID and URL in association with your Kindred Reels video record.

Revoking Access and Deleting Data

You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time from the Share modal by clicking "Disconnect YouTube." This immediately deletes your stored OAuth tokens from our system. You can also revoke Kindred Reels' access to your Google account directly via Google's security settings. YouTube video IDs and URLs stored in your video records are deleted when you delete the associated Kindred Reels video or your account.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your photos and generated videos
• Opt out of non-essential communications

Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data is retained while your account remains active
• Deleted accounts: Data is permanently removed within 30 days of a deletion request
• Generated videos: Stored according to your account status and our retention policies

• Analyze site usage

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly without them.

Children's Privacy

Kindred Reels is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

Our service is operated in the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
